Educational institutions are hastily increasing in number mainly because of population. Therefore , there is also a need for the academic managers to be well – equipped in several principles of educational administration for productivity and effectiveness in the educational system.

The purpose of educational administration is to permit the right pupils to receive the best education from your right professors, at a cost within the method of the state, which will enable pupils to gain their learning. (Graham Balfour).

In the field of government and direction, principle is usually accepted being a fundamental truth. Principle may be considered a law, a doctrine, a policy or a deep-seated belief which will governs the conduct of numerous types of human effort. For the administrator or perhaps supervisor, a principle if it is understood and accepted, will serve in significant ways to guidebook someone's refractive thinking and choice of activities. In government and guidance, an accepted rule becomes component to one's basic philosophy which in turn serves to ascertain and assess its educational objectives, perceptions, practices, and outcomes.

Managing in general is not compacted to one of his hypostasis, the " single-member leadership” in the placing of modern companies, leadership is definitely the work of any group of commanders, charged with responsibility in several sectors and relative to distinct groups of persons.

Nwaham (2008) says guidance of instruction plays a vital role at supporting, guiding and stimulating the teachers to improve on their teaching skills and experience and also enhance their specialist growth. Direction, according to Retting (2007), provides options for teachers to be groomed through a discursive critical examine of class room interaction. As well, Osakwe (2010) sees direction as the facility of professional assistance and assistance geared towards the achievements of effective teaching and finding out how to teachers and students inside the school program. Therefore , the principals should adopt methods, principles and functions that are essential to obtain educational goals.
